Brief info
He is the Ag. University Librarian, currently pursuing a PhD in Information Science. He holds a Masters degree in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa focusing on knowledge management and a Degree/Diploma in Library & Information Science from Makerere University, Uganda focusing on information service provisions.
He is a part time lecturer since 2019 at IUIU Arua Campus where he lectures in library information services areas such as; Automation of library and record management systems, Digital information services and management, Reference services and patron management, Information and Documentation Service, Management Information Systems, Indexing and Abstracting Services, Community Information Needs and Services, Information Profession, Information literacy, Information and Documentation Systems, Management of Information Institutions, Management of Information systems, Museum Management and Curatorship, Information Storage and Retrieval Systems, Organisations and Office Systems, Records Centre Management, Knowledge Organisation - Knowledge cataloguing, and Knowledge Classification, Desktop Publishing, among others.
He also taught courses like Foundations of Information Systems, and Information systems Project Management at Muni University.
He is interested in addressing people’s informational gaps in their daily lives through library and information services. He is a co-author of Diffusion of open source integrated library systems in academic libraries in Africa: The case of Uganda widely cited in academia to enhance the quality of lives hence his interest in emerging technologies in library and information science.
